Formation combined with film production

> With more than 27 years of activity the CENTRE D'ESTUDIS CINEMATOGRÀFICS DE CATALUNYA and its associated production company, GRUPO CINE ARTE, S.L., located in the heart of Barcelona, have become into an authentic unified center with international projection of formation, production, research and promotion of new producers, scriptwriters, technical personnel and actors.

> The educational activity combines the acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the most diverse areas of the cinematography with a practical experience, constant and supervised, capable of integrating the different aspects of the audiovisual production.

> Our main goal is to maximize the technical competition, professionalism and creativity of our students, guiding them in the use of the most modern together with the knowledge of the most classic tools of the cinema, and to give the major scope and the best access into the audiovisual media to the future professional filmmakers.

Cinema Courses

The classes are in Spanish language and include the artistic and technical branches corresponding to the different possibilities that the media offers: Film Direction, Film Editing and Sound, Camera Operator and Cinematography and Acting.

Each speciality is three years long, from October to June every year. The formation comprehends theoretical and practical classes, filming in cinematographic and digital format practices, as well as other activities in the center, even in July and September. The studies of cinema are organized in 3 courses (years). There is a group of main subjects for all the students and another group of subjects for every speciality. From the Second course (year) the pupil will have to choose one of the following specializations:

• Film Editing and Sound

• Film Direction

• Cinematography and Camera Operator

Besides these specializations, in CECC you'll find Acting Studies, Masters, Seminars, online training, etc.

Student Promotion

CECC also provides extensive training, hopes to become a center for students information exchange and professional contact during their course at the Center upon completion of their studies.

Therefore, CECC has Festivals, Communication and Broadcasting Departments, from which to romote the students' work and ex-students presenting their short films and feature films to festivals and exhibitions of national and international broadcasters and distributors, such as premieres of short films and feature films to cinemas / commercial cinemas, Co-productions with students and alumni of the CECC, etc.

Grants

Students in any speciality have the possibility to send projects through its associated production company, Grupo Cine Arte, applying for grants from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, from the Autonomous Communities, Media Program, Ibermedia, Media Plus, as well as any other way accessible to any production company.

CECC staff offers a comprehensive service developing all paperwork, documents, making financial plans, budgets, work plans and mentoring the project that has been presented.

Parallel Departments to the educational process

In addition to the theoretical and practical classes, CECC offers to their students parallel departments providing to students constant support for their professional training and artistic development.
